Struggling with organization ideas for small bathrooms?  Small bathrooms require smart storage and organization solutions to keep it organized and free of clutter. Especially when all family members or residents are using the same small bathroom, you need to make the use of every nook and cranny including the cabinet under the sink, over the toilet, behind the door and the shower.

Our main bathroom which is commonly used by all four of our family members is quite small with limited counter and storage space. I hated going in there especially after the kids used it in the mornings and the bedtime. The little countertop space was always cluttered with toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair brushes floating in the water. Good luck to us when it was time to change the toilet paper because it was a battle with a mound of spare toilet papers, hair dryer, towels, self-care products etc. in the cabinet under the sink. At the end of the day, I had to work with what I have and I attacked that little bathroom on all fronts to make sure it got organized and stayed organized.

COUNTERTOP

wall mount bathroom organizerFirst, I got this wall mount bathroom organizer with cups to hold the toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush and even the hairdryer. We put our electric toothbrushes on the flat surface and hair brushes, toothbrushes and toothpaste in the cups. When I blow dry my hair, I just hang the hairdryer in the spiral attachment instead of putting it back on the counter where eventually drops back into the sink. I love this organizer. It gave us back all the space on the countertop.

3 door mirror medicine cabinet for bathroom
We have a 3 door mirror bathroom cabinet in which we store all of our perfumes, colognes, creams, cosmetics, mouthwash etc. Inside, it is very spacious and stores quite a lot. The 3-door mirror comes handy when you need to do hair or makeup. You can use the side doors to see the back of your hair. It also gives the bathroom much-needed depth.

CABINET UNDER THE SINK

I keep our towels at the bottom, and shampoos and soaps on top. Because of the position of the pipe under our sink, only one set of baskets was able to fit. If you can fit one on both sides, you can store paper towels and other personal care items in order as well.

over the cabinet door hair dryer and accessory rackThe game changer was that helps with organization ideas for small bathrooms was this over the cabinet door hair dryer and accessory rack. This is brilliant. It’s so handy that you don’t have to wait until you suffer from “small bathroom syndrome to get it. I have my dryer, curler, curling brush stored in it. I open the cabinet door and voila! No more scrambling through the mounds of toilet papers. The trick is to teach the kids to put back on the hanger.

These clear drawer organizers are great to keep everything in place. You have to measure your drawers before you make the purchase so that they fit tightly.

SHOWER

s hooksOne last simple gadget to store things in the bathroom are these S hooks which you can hang on the shower curtain rod or towel rod. Hang your shower sponge, brush, or towels. Hang baskets to store more items in them. They are very versatile. I use these in my kitchen as well.

OVER THE TOILET

over the toilet tank toilet paper holderThis over the toilet tank toilet paper holder is the simplest but most effective solution to have toilet papers and bathroom reading material handy. Now, all you have to do is to train your family to remove the empty roll and put on the new one.

over the toilet cabinetFinally, if you don’t have cabinets under the sink or just need more storage space over the toilet cabinet and shelves give you a lot of storage and decorative space. if you have kids, make sure you secure it back on the wall, to prevent it from tipping over.

I’ve done my bathroom reorganization almost about a year ago, and I can comfortably vouch for these practical organization and storage solutions. It’s not only so much more pleasant to the eye but also less frustrating when you are looking for something you need. Everything is neatly organized and stored and stays that way for a long time.
