I’ve written how I tried to contain the LEGO parts mess by storing them in plastic zipped storage bags by color in this post. Since LEGO’s are both of my kids’ favorite toys and the toy that they spend time playing the most, we are continually accumulating new models. After I organized the parts and pieces, the instruction booklets started to become a bigger part of the mess.
I’ve seen this solution on the internet way back. I decided to put this item, sitting on my to-do list, into action, after a meltdown when a booklet my son needed got misplaced. I put each of the booklets in sheet protectors and put the sheet protectors in a plastic 3-ring binder. Hopefully, no mess and no fuss anymore.
The binder sits in the bin that contains the LEGO parts.
Organization and Storage Items
HOW DO YOU KEEP THE BOOKLETS FROM FALLING OUT OF THE PROTECTIVE SHEETS,
I place the protective sheets with openings looking up in the 3-ring binder. When you keep the folder standing, they stay in their protective sheets.
I did this for the 1,000s of recipes I have cut out of magazines and newspapers. I ended up having to make 2, one for baking and desserts and one for all meal things. Now my two grandsons have accumulated sooooo many legos in a very short time, I think this would be an excellent idea. What makes it easy is the transparent sheet protectors so you can see right away the object you want to make.
