My daughter chose “flowers” as the theme of her 5th birthday party. We celebrated at home with her friends. My mom and I prepared the dishes. This was her “fruit cake”. I used watermelon, honey dew melon, blueberries, raspberries, pineapple (hearts & flowers) and tangerines with the help of few toothpicks. Kids loved it.

This is the whole table.
Lentil couscous salad.
Shrimp appetizers. From bottom to top: Cucumber, cherry tomatoe, orange and shrimps marinated with orange.
Tahini pastries
Sugar cookies
Dolmades: Rice wrapped in grape leaves
Gluten free popcakes, baked with gluten free chocolate cake mix by Bob’s Red Mill.

Cupcakes for birthday cake.

I am a mother of two and a type of person who you would call “Jack of all trades, master of none”. As you might guess from categories, I love my children, reading, sewing, gardening, traveling and cooking. I also work full time so I have to be practical to do all the things I want to do in a 24-hr-day. More About Me
