Ballerina themed birthday party

My little sunshine turned 6 a week ago. It’s harder to accept that your youngest is growing. (S)he is always the youngest of the house no matter what.

My daughter wanted a Ballerina Birthday party this year. We made a big change and threw the party somewhere other than our house. For the last 13 parties, between my son and daughter, we always preferred having the party in our basement. However, with ballerina theme we decided to have it at a more appropriate setup.

Ballerina BirthdayWe had the party at ABC Dance Academy, where my daughter takes her ballet & tap classes. Her own ballet instructor, entertained the little ballerinas the party.
Ballerina Birthday Decoration

Ballerina Birthday DecorationI did very little homemade/handmade decorations. I just made these ballerinas with snowflake tutus. I purchased the ballet themed tableware, banners, loot bags and gifts from DiscountPartySupplies.com.

Ballerina Birthday CakeA close friend of mine – who is the designated master pastry chef of our family – made her ballerina birthday cake. I sew the tutu for the cake. I will post cake tutu instructions in another post.

Ballerina BirthdayMs. Alyssa prepared such a fun program for the girls. They warmed up.

Ballerina BirthdayThey played games.

Ballerina Birthday Up on their tippy toes.

Ballerina Birthday They danced.

Ballerina Birthday and they danced.

I am a mother of two and a type of person who you would call “Jack of all trades, master of none”. As you might guess from categories, I love my children, reading, sewing, gardening, traveling and cooking. I also work full time so I have to be practical to do all the things I want to do in a 24-hr-day. More About Me
