We got mentally ready for the Ultimate Reset. I am used to grocery shopping and prepping meals, which might be a big change for some others as I read through the support group threads. We finished the food we had in the fridge. I went through the list that I got from the Participant Portal, to see what we already had and what we didn’t.
The list was very detailed with quantities for one person. I basically shopped for the ingredients for 5. I cleaned out the distilled water shelf. We got 10 gallons of distilled water. A lot of fruits and veggies. Yummy!
I am on thyroid medication and eat gluten-free due to my Hashimoto’s disease. I knew I should wait 4 hours after the thyroid medicine to take any supplements. So I asked my pharmacist what to do during Ultimate Reset. She recommended me to take my medication at night before going to bed for these 21 days so that minerals and supplements will not interfere with it. (This is for information purposes only. Please consult your own doctor or pharmacist regarding your own health and medication.)
I also have to substitute the toast with gluten-free alternatives.
Now the fridge is packed. Actually too packed to the extend that I don’t like it, but I don’t want to make a trip to the grocery store everyday. I still have to get nori sheets and tempeh.
One thing I would have recommended for this program is to incorporate more recipes from Mediterranean cuisine than Far East. The ingredients would have been easier to find and taste might have been much more familiar.
We all had our blood tests done, weighed and measured. Ready for Day 1!
